This is the perfect welcome back activity for scholars to share how their break went in one song. The selected song must describe the mood, vibe, and overall THEME of their break.
 
This was a great "building relationships" activity between scholars and teacher because scholars can share music with each other and with you. As I walked around the room, I was able to check-in with each student and get to know their music interests and see their personalities light up.
 
You can always require that the students add color to this work sheet and have them share in small groups once they're done, and even call on a few to share with the whole class.
 
Scholars loved when I said that I was looking to expand my Spotify playlist and told them that I was going to add their songs to my list for my drive home.
